THE QUESTIONNAIRE:

Do you have a specific start date or end date? This will help me know how much time is available to finish the project.
If you already own a .com (or .net, .org, .us etc.) domain name, let me know! If not, don't worry. Once we begin the process of building the site, you can purchase one through a hosting site. It would be a good idea to think of some domain name ideas and make sure they're not taken already.
Informational, blog, personal, online store, portfolio, etc. - or any combination of a few.
Please list any websites that you've seen and like the look of - this will help me understand how extensive the design will need to be. (Please add links.)
And what will they be? (Home page, about page, gallery, shop, menu, etc.) It's okay if you're not sure yet - even if you don't know the specifics, give me an idea of what you want to feature on the site.
Which hosting site would you like to use?
I'm a designer, not a web developer (a coder who builds websites from scratch). Most hosting sites have templates available, which is what I'll use as a jumping-off point. I've built websites from scratch before, so I'll be able to use the most basic template available, create the site according to the design, and edit the code of the template to do whatever we want. This way, instead of paying a developer to build the site from my design (which would cost you more money) or have me build it from scratch (which, again, would cost you more money), I can design and put the site together simply with a hosting site's basic platform. Most hosting sites are very easy for you to navigate later, after my part of designing the site is done.
You may not have one and that's fine! This is a tough question for some people as many are unsure of how much design work is worth. By giving me a rough budget, I'll know what I'll be able to do for you based on how much you can afford. I may not be able to design all - or any - of what is needed for the project based on your budget. If you're unsure or don't know, just choose "I'm Not Sure."
If you need one or would like a new one, I can design one with you for an additional cost.
While we're figuring out the project, let me know if you need anything else designed now, and I'll be able to add it to the proposal. If you're not sure if you need anything else designed just yet, or if you know you need more but you don't need it right now, it's not a problem to start the process over in the future.
